Dr. Rick was raised in the N. Fort Myers area since 1970. He attended and graduated from North Fort Myers High School in 1978, and did his pre-Chiropractic studies at Edison College in Ft. Myers, Fl.

Dr. Rick graduated in 1983 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta Georgia.

Following graduation, Dr. Rick and his wife Stacy, moved to Spartanburg, S.C. to work with Dr. Michael U. Kale and his wife Charlotte at the Kale Chiropractic Research Clinic and Hospital. He worked with Dr. Kale at his main clinic for about a year and a half. At that point, Dr. Kale then opened a satellite clinic in Mauldin, S.C., just outside of Greenville. It was there that Dr. Rick was appointed the Director of the Kale Chiropractic Clinic of Mauldin. While working with Dr. Kale, he helped develop and teach the Kale Upper Cervical Specific Certification program, which was taught to Specific Chiropractors from across the United States and around the world.

In January of 1987, Dr. Rick and Stacy, with their two new daughters, Courtney and Lacey returned to N. Fort Myers. Soon after, their son, Rick A. Means II was born in Punta Gorda, Fl.

It was at this time that Dr. Rick fulfilled his Chiropractic dream, by joining in practice with his brother, Dr. Mark C. Means.

Since joining together, Dr. Rick and Dr. Mark went on to build one of the largest Chiropractic offices in the state of Florida. Now this year, as of July 2013, the Means Family Chiropractic dream was expanded with the addition of his son, now known as Dr. Rick A. Means II.

Dr. Rick and his wife Stacy's family has now grown, and they are now the proud grandparents of Roxy Jo, and Ace Thomas, and Jax Conner, children of their daughter, Lacey Brown and her husband Scott Brown Jr. His daughter Courtney Means, is now the Tax Senior for the Accounting Firm of Martin E.
